WASTE TREATMENT FACILITY
The Process :
1) Organic Waste Hammer Mill with chipping and shredding function.
- Collection trucks
loaded with biodegradable wastes go thru an elevated ramp and dump its
contents to a hopper opening of 10ft x 12ft x 8ft.
Organic wastes in controlled quantities run thru the belt conveyor
system with geared motor drive and fed to the hammer mill feed entrance
with main rotor disc @ 48 diameter complemented by 4 sets cutting blade
to chip wood and shred organic wastes to fine particles. The fine
particles are then ejected thru a rotatable blower system to load them
directly to the collection bins.
A trailer mounted / engine driven organic waste
shredder is also activated in the facility to shred materials in small
quantities that dont pass thru the hopper or to refine further the
particles in the windrow.
2) Internal Logistics Handling within the facility.
- Hooklift Truck picks up the loaded bin and dump it to a stockpile
to form windrows 2.2 meters in width, 1.1 meter in height, and 25 to 100
meters in length depending on the physical lay out of the facility. The
empty bin is then returned to the hammer mill site and replaced by loaded
bins to continue the dumping sequence until long windrows are formed.
Treatment for Odor and Waste Digester
- The Biomass
Processing Equipment is loaded with adequate microbial mass consisting of
microbial activator, trichoderma, and other cellulolytic fungal decomposer
grown in liquid concentrate. This is thoroughly mixed in formulated dosage
of water and integrated into the system of aeration, mixing, watering and
turning operations first performed by the BPE on the windrow of fine
particles of biodegradable wastes.
- The windrow is
monitored with respect to factors of C:N ratio, organic mass, ph level,
moisture, and temperature. The
Biomass Processing Equipment is utilized for repeated operations of
turning, aeration, mixing, and watering of each particle of the windrow to
control these factors. One
cycle of composting will require 4 to 5 times BPE operations.
Compost Booster for High Grade Organic Fertilizer Finish
Compost Booster is thoroughly mixed with water as per formulated dosage
and is applied to the windrow / stockpile of biodegradable waste on the
last BPE operations prior to harvest of organic fertilizer. This compost
booster consists primarily of azotobacter, azospirillum, and acetobacter
to ensure a blend of naturally occurring beneficial microbes, nitrogen
fixing bacteria, enzymes, trace elements and humic acid to effectively
convert biodegradable waste to high grade organic fertilizer.
6) Sieving and Bagging
- At the end of the
composting cycle, the highly humified compost particles are then sieved
using manual sieving equipment or electric driven roller siever and bagged
using electric sewing equipment for appropriate packaging and eventual
selling of high grade organic fertilizer.

OPERATING FEATURES OF THE
BIOMASS PROCESSING EQUIPMENT
Aerate, Mix, Moisten and
Inoculate as you turn the windrow of organic waste.
Even and thorough
application of water and inoculant. The
mechanical watering and inoculation system with water manifold and spray
nozzles assures even moisture for each particle as the biomass processing
equipment moves thru the row. Turner
water system and hose fitting is ready for quick attachment to the
equipment water tank. The
convenience of adding water as the row is turned assures sufficient
moisture for maximum biological activity and breakdown of organic matter.

Processing Equipment prevents water run off, pooling, and leaching of
nutrients. In contrast to
watering separately done from the aeration and turning operations, excess
